The AHA Vitality Index™ Offers Special Introductory Pricing to Arkansas Hospitals

The American Hospital Association's AHA Vitality Index™ arms the hospital field with the data it needs to hold commercial health plans accountable for burdensome practices.

In 2022, many hospitals expressed interest in the program, but the primary concern was lacking critical mass of data and the economy’s impact on the industry. In response, AHA Vitality IndexTM decided that 2023 is going to be the year of investing in the data and obtaining critical mass of hospitals in each state along with a focus of partnering with large national health systems. Their goal is to onboard at least 1,000 hospitals from across the country and to create statistical significance in each state.

To that end, they wanted to incent the large health systems and reward the early adopters in each state. Another offering will be volume discounts for the health systems to encourage continued participation.

The 2023 pricing strategy is:

1. Offer AHA Vitality for FREE to the first 15% of early adopter hospitals in each state.

2. The remaining hospitals will get 50% off for the first year:

     CAH:     $500 x 50% = $250/mo

     Acute:  $1,000 x 50% = $500/mo

3. Years 2+ will be volume discounted based on number of hospitals in the health system (CAH $500 / Acute $1,000):

     # Hosp/system       Discount

            0-5                       0%

           6-10                    10%

          11-20                    20%

          21-40                    30%

            41+                     40%

The program already has its first large, national system uploading data, and they look to engage more systems in 2023!

We are excited to finally launch the AHA Vitality Index and create the industry’s more powerful repository of advocacy data!
