The AHA Vision Care Plan is a voluntary program designed to encourage overall eye health through annual eye exams, while reducing the costs associated with vision care expenses. Members have access to a full service vision care plan that provides an annual exam and glasses or contacts (copay applies). Members also receive great discounts on cosmetic lens options such as polycarbonate, anti-reflective coating and tints. In addition, VSP provides discounts on laser vision correction and additional pairs of glasses and sunglasses.
An annual eye exam can detect early signs of diseases like diabetes, high cholesterol, and hypertension. By detecting these diseases early, employees can seek treatment before costly medical complications arise. The end result is healthier, happier, and more productive employees.

Cost-Effective “on-the-job” Accident Coverage
The AHA Volunteer and Student Nursing Insurance Program is designed to provide cost-effective coverage in the event of an “on-the-job” accident for individuals who participate in a volunteer service program on or off the hospital premises.
The program features flexible benefit levels with no deductibles or co-payments. The Life Insurance Company of North America underwrites this program.

Workers’ Compensation Coverage
AHA Workers’ Compensation Self-Insured Trust Program was established in March 2003. The program provides workers’ compensation coverage to AHA members. Risk Management Resources, a division of BancorpSouth Insurance Services, the third party administrator for the program, assists members in the areas of underwriting, claims management, safety, and loss control.
